It’s been an interesting year for Six Flags parks. Travis Kelce recently partnered with Six Flags to “enhance shareholder value and improve the guest experience,” which is not something we saw coming, especially since Six Flags has had to close seven theme parks overall due to changing operating companies, financial issues, etc.
However, now we know when the newest Six Flags park will open later this year. Not only are they barely making their “late 2025” opening, but it’s also opening where you may not expect — Saudi Arabia.
It was just shared by Marcus Leshock on X (formerly Twitter) that the new Six Flags Qiddiya City will officially open on December 31st, 2025, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
This new theme park will feature multiple record-setting attractions, including Falcons Flight, which will be the tallest and fastest roller coaster in the world. The other record-breaking attractions are Sirocco Tower, Iron Rattler, Spitfire, and Gyrospin.
The new park is home to six different sections — Discovery Springs, City of Thrills, Grand Exposition, Valley of Fortune, Twilight Gardens, and Steam Town. This theme park is the first of its kind in Saudi Arabia, and the journey began in December 2021, when the contract was signed and ground was broken. Then, in November 2023, the park unveiled the Falcons Flight train; in December 2023, the park reached its halfway point; and most recently, the Falcons Flight began testing in April 2025.
We’re looking forward to hearing more about this park as it moves towards its opening date! In the meantime, check out more recent Six Flags news below.
