Disney, Can We Have This in Times Square Year-Round?

One of the 25 Disney stores left in the United States is located in Times Square in New York City, and while it’s already exciting to visit on its own, it recently had an interactive event like no other!

On the evening of November 12th, right after Disney had debuted their new short film for the holiday season, something very special happened in Times Square — for the first time EVER, there was an interactive billboard right above the Disney store that people could doodle on!

It’s true! For the first time ever, there was a first-of-its-kind interactive billboard in Times Square that gave Disney fans the chance to see their doodle drawings appear in real time! However, being physically present in Times Square wasn’t necessary to submit your doodle — thousands of doodles were submitted from across the country.

However, many were from those who were in person at the Disney Store Times Square, who all received a complimentary pair of customizable Mickey Mouse ears special to this experience! Encouraging people to submit their drawings on the board was none other than Doodle, the lovable character from Disney’s newest holiday short.

Now, if you haven’t seen Disney’s newest short, A Disney Holiday Short: Best Christmas Ever, it follows a young girl who happens to doodle a little friend on her letter to Santa, and he comes to life the next morning when Santa believes that he was part of the little girl’s Christmas wish. The two have a wonderful year together, but there’s one problem — Doodle doesn’t have a mouth! The little girl sets out to fix the issue next Christmas, and let’s just say it’s certain to warm your heart and get you into the holiday spirit. You can watch it below!
