Okay, so Disney’s Animal Kingdom is under a lot of construction now, and even more construction is on the way. Right now, Disney is closing Dinoland, U.S.A. in phases as it creates a brand new land, Pueblo Esperanza. Recently, the show inside the Tree of Life, It’s Tough To Be A Bug, closed to make way for a new show, Zootopia: Better Zoogether (and we got to see it!).
Well, another set of construction walls has appeared at an Animal Kingdom attraction, Gorilla Falls, and we just wanted to warn you ahead of time so it doesn’t catch you by surprise.
Gorilla Falls is one of the exploration trails in Animal Kingdom. Here, you can get a close-up look at some of the animals that call Animal Kingdom home, like gorillas, hippos, zebras, meerkats, and more. Well, we visited Gorilla Falls recently and discovered that part of the trail has construction walls around it.
Disney has placed posters on the walls with quotes that relate to Animal Kingdom, like this quote from the movie Up.
The construction walls are around the Angola colobus exhibit (aka those black and white monkeys you can see on the trail). The exhibit has been closed for a little while, so it seems like some work is being done on the monkey’s enclosure. You can see scaffolding behind the walls, so it looks like the monkeys’ area might be getting an update.
However, the rest of Gorilla Falls is still open, so you can still walk through it and see the other wildlife present there. I personally recommend visiting all the trails in the park because I believe they’re one of the best parts of Animal Kingdom. You’ll find all the trails’ locations in the My Disney Experience app, as well as on the Animal Kingdom park map.
