If you are a football fan, and we’re assuming a Disney fan as well, you’re going to be hyped to hear that Disney+ is teaming up with the FL yet again to bring a fun “altcast” to the streaming service. Monsters Funday Football is hitting your screens, and while it may not be the Scare Games, it’ll be just as entertaining — let’s take a look at the details!

Get ready for a unique night of NFL monster madness! The monsters at Monsters Inc. will be hosting Monsters Funday Football, as the Philadelphia Eagles take on the Los Angeles Chargers on December 8th at 8 PM ET. Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like Oozma Kappa or Roar Omega Roar will be competing in this challenge.

You’ll be able to watch the Monsters Funday Football exclusively on ESPN2, Disney XD, Disney Channel, the ESPN App, and Disney+! If you’re living in Monstropolis, you should be able to air the game from there as well. Check out the ad ESPN posted on X, formerly known as Twitter.

This is the third year of Monsters Funday Football, and it should be as good as ever. Oh, did we mention that Mike and Sulley will be playing? That’s right, the iconic monsters will be joining in the game in REAL-TIME. The game won’t be played on the laugh floor — instead, they will be on the cheer floor. Apparently, cheer power is just as great as laugh power when it comes to producing energy.

Halftime is going to be just as eventful as the game, as Mike and Sulley will face off in a frenzied cheer canister challenge — who will end up with the most canisters filled? Check out the full trailer that Disney+ posted on X!
