When Disney World announced that they were dropping a BUNCH of new chicken tender meals, you best believe we were celebrating like it was a national holiday. There were about a million exclamation marks used in messages, and schedules and plans were created just so we could eat alllll the new dishes.
We went to the parks and tried these special chicken tender meals all across Disney World, and we’re spilling all the details here with you. Sit back and relax, and read up on which chicken tender meal you should try during your next visit to Disney World.
All of these 13 chicken tender meals feature the same chicken strips you know and love from Disney Parks, with a crispy breading on the outside and a white, juicy inside. What makes these all special is the toppings that come with them!
First, we headed to Magic Kingdom to try the Seaside Chicken Strips at Columbia Harbour House for $12.99. These are topped with a seasoned aioli, crushed pretzels, and crispy garlic, and y’all, don’t knock pretzels and chicken tenders together. You can taste all of the spices in the aioli without it being spicy, and the crispy pretzels add a beautiful crunch and a punch of salt.
Despite being called Seaside Chicken Strips, these are meant to be eaten by the water, and no seafood elements have made it to the dish. We loved the salt and how the crispy garlic added a deeper depth of flavor without making each bite overwhelmingly garlicy. These were a win in our book!
Then we tried the Lemon Pepper-Parmesan Chicken Strips at Pinocchio Village Haus for $12.99. These are coated in garlic butter and parmesan with lemon-pepper seasoning.
The lemon made each bite bright and acidic, and the black pepper added a spicy taste without the heat. The Parmesan also helped cool down the black pepper. What we really appreciated was how it wasn’t overwhelming with lemon pepper seasoning but had a great balance from the cheese, garlic, salt, lemon, and black pepper. The toppings stuck well on the chicken, making it easy to eat, too.
We also had the Buffalo Chicken Strips at Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe for $12.99. This is coated in buffalo sauce and topped with ranch seasoning.
Our reporter, who is not the biggest fan of spice and buffalo sauce, loved these! The sauce wasn’t too spicy; instead, it came at the end of each bite as a kick, allowing you to taste the sauce without your tongue burning off. There wasn’t a ton of ranch seasoning on top to cool it down, so we could have used more or had a side of ranch, but these had great classic flavor, and you’ll have those traditional orange fingers at the end.
Then we headed to Animal Kingdom to try the Waffle Cone Chicken Strips at Restaurantosaurus for $12.99. It’s also available at Beaches Pool Bar and Grill at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. Yes, you’re looking at it right: there are chicken strips being served in a waffle cone bowl! These chicken strips are coated in maple syrup and have a crunchy exterior similar to crushed-up waffle cones.
I don’t know about you, but I’ve never seen chicken and waffles like this! The bowl created a fun crunch, and the chicken had a great level of sweetness without being too sticky. Eating the bowl and the chicken at the same time can be a little difficult, but this was such a silly take that we enjoyed the effort.
After that, we went to Hollywood Studios for the Spicy Aioli Chicken Strips for $12.99 at Rosie’s All-American Cafe. Before we get too far, when you see the menu, you’ll find the Spicy Aioli Chicken Strips for $12.99 and the Chicken Strips listed below for a few dollars less. We had originally thought we could order it without the side and just get the chicken, but it turned out to be the plain, traditional chicken tenders instead. For the Spicy Aioli Chicken Strips, you have to order a side with it as well.
The chicken was drizzled with the aioli that gave a very slight heat and was mostly tangy with a hint of sweetness. We wish it were coated or dunked into the sauce (or we got extra on the side), but because there wasn’t too much sauce, we didn’t find these too incredible, and while they were good if you’re already going to be eating at Rosie’s, we’re not sure we would seek these out.
Continuing on (we told you there was a lot of chicken!), we tried the Honey Buffalo Chicken Strips with Ranch for $12.99 at Backlot Express. These chicken strips, on the other hand, versus the Spicy Aioli Chicken Strips, were completely glazed in their sauce, and we were here for it.
There is a low heat, so you know it’s there, and while you can’t individually pull out the honey flavor, it adds a bit of sweetness to each bite. There was ranch drizzled on top, and you can also grab a side of ranch if you love to dunk your chicken tenders. We thought these were really well-rounded and very enjoyable to eat.
We then tried the Gochujang-glazed Chicken Strips for $12.99, which you can grab at Capt. Cook’s at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort and Everything POP Shopping & Dining at Disney’s Pop Century Resort. We won’t lie — these strips are a little overwhelming, but in a good way. The Gochujang sauce tastes like really spicy ketchup, but it’s very well-balanced.
It DOES have a bit of heat to it, so you’ll want to be warned about that. These strips are also fully covered in the sauce, which makes the strips a little softer. We also loved the house-made chips because they’re more unique than standard fries. We won’t lie, though — these strips are on our personal list of faves, even if they sorta set our mouths on fire.
Next up was the Jerk BBQ Chicken Strips with Pineapple Salsa for $12.99, which you can find at the following spots:
- End Zone Food Court at Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort
- Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort — French Quarter
- Riverside Mill Food Court at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort — Riverside
- Gasparilla Island Grill at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
- The Mara at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge
So these are more of a loaded fries…situation because it was served with fries on the bottom, then chicken strips, then sauce and toppings. Y’all…we LOVED that. The barbecue sauce has a nice low heat, but it is a sweeter barbecue sauce with additional sweetness coming from the pineapple salsa. The chicken strips under the sauce were regular strips, but the toppings really elevated them. We were honestly surprised we could pick these up at the Grand Floridian, and they are easily in our top three of chicken strips we’ve had so far.
Finally, we had the Sweet Chili Aioli Chicken Strips for $12.99, and you can find these at the following locations:
- World Premiere Food Court at Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort
- Landscape of Flavors at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort
- Centertown Market at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort
- Spyglass Grill at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort
- The Artist’s Palette at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa
- Roaring Fork at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge
- Typhoon Tilly’s at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park
- Wind & Waves Market at Disney’s Vero Beach Resort
You get these served with standard fries. The chicken strips reminded us of an Outback blooming onion because you’ve got that breaded crispy layer with some chicken on the inside. The sauce also reminds us of the sauce served with the blooming onion, so you’ve got those same types of flavors. That sauce is drizzled on, so you don’t get too much of it. But we would have liked to have had more on the side. The sauce has a light heat with a nice sweetness. However, we feel like these could’ve been better with some green onions or crispy onions on top. The strips are nice and crispy, though.
Heads up, by the way, when we were getting all these chicken tenders, the Cast Members were really excited about them and wanted feedback. So if you order them, be sure to tell them what you think so they can get that feedback to their chefs and teams.
We had a chicken festival, which made it the best week at Disney World ever! Make sure you keep following Disney Food Blog for more food reviews so you know the best food to try during your next vacation.

Wonder if the chicken strips breading is egg free?? Many places are substituting egg with buttermilk.
My grandson is very allergic to egg so we’ve scoped out all the restaurants in our area that serve breaded chicken strips. We also carry an EpiPen whenever we go out to eat. Can’t be too careful.
Whatever happened to the Jerk Chicken Strips at the Launchpad in Tomorrowland. They were the best fast food Jerk Chicken I have ever had. I hope they bring them back.
