It’s been an interesting year for Southwest Airlines, with lots of controversial changes.

Southwest Airlines
The airline got rid of its staple free checked bags system and got rid of its open seat policy, creating a whole new boarding system for passengers. Now, a NEW change is coming to Southwest soon. Don’t panic yet, this one is a positive one!
Free Wi-Fi is coming to all Southwest Airlines flights starting on October 24th. Wait, what?! Yep, thanks to T-Mobile, you’ll be able to stream, stay on the web, game, you name it. On top of that, Southwest made a promise that the entire fleet will get faster Wi-Fi, as well!

Southwest Airplanes
With higher usage of devices on the flight, you’re going to need to plug in to make sure you still have battery on the plane. So, Southwest announced they are bringing in-seat power ports to their new 737 Max 8 airplanes. Not only that, they will also be getting larger overhead bins. Southwest is in the process of adding the in-seat power posts and larger overhead bins to all existing aircraft, as well.

Flying with Southwest
Let the positive change streak run, as Southwest also promised to add new features to its app. Making sure your travel day is smoother and easier. Thank you, Southwest, we’re loving these changes, though we are really missing the “checked bags fly free” policy.

Traveling soon?
Fall and winter are the PERFECT times to travel to Disney World. It’s the final month of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. Then right after that is the holiday season with gorgeous decorations in all four parks, the EPCOT Festival of the Holidays, Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, and Jollywood Nights. Thank goodness you got rid of the “cattle call” seating. It was always stressful for a guy that needs to know where his going to sit! Free bags was only a perk for people that checked bags. Love the new WiFi and overhead storage upgrades as well! Keep up the good work!
Bring back free bags! Or at least make it a little cheaper to bring them.
PLEASE BRING BACK FREE SEATING!! Getting my reservations for my upcoming trip was so much work!! I finally had to break down and call. I’m in a wheelchair and now my husband has to pay $60 extra to sit next to me!
