REVIEW: Mickey-Shaped Whipped Cream Makes This Disney Treat 10X Better. I Don't Make the Rules!

Okay, it’s no secret that the Halloween snacks in Disneyland GO HARD and generally SLAP. Disney puts so much thought into the treats that you can find in the parks and Downtown Disney. We have so much fun trying them all, and we hope it shows!

Monster Funnel Cake

Now, we’ve already tried many of these treats (and maybe even had a few more than once). But a new treat has entered the chat, and if you love chocolate, start planning a trip to Disneyland NOW. We’re taking on the Monster Funnel Cake at Stage Door Cafe.

The Monster Funnel Cake certainly lives up to its monstrous name. It’s a green funnel cake (yep, it’s GREEN) with chocolate sauce, crumbled brownie, peanut butter candy pieces, and whipped cream for $10.29. There’s a lot to unpack with all those ingredients, but let us tell you now…they work! Also, LOOK at those mounds of whipped cream shaped like Mickey. That’s just the literal frosting on top of this cake.

The main flavor you’ll get with this baby is the chocolate. First, you’ve got the crumbled brownie with a lighter and sweeter chocolate flavor. Then there’s the sauce with a strong, rich chocolate flavor. Then you get more of that rich chocolate happening throughout the funnel cake as a whole. ALLLLL the chocolate, y’all.

Now THAT is a portion

The whipped cream is a nice light, refreshing balance to all that chocolate. Plus, you get a bit of peanut butter flavor with the peanut butter candy pieces, which also add a nice crunch. And, of course, chocolate and peanut butter go together SO well. Now, this is a MONSTER of a snack, meaning it’s hefty, so you may want to share, or you could just fill up on it (I mean, I certainly won’t judge someone for having funnel cake for breakfast, lunch, or dinner in Disneyland, having done so myself).

So, yeah. We had a BLAST eating this treat in Disneyland — espeically with the fall decorations all around. The vibes were on point.
