Disney Adults Are Obsessing Over These NEW Castle Details

We love Disney castles, probably a little too much. We can go on and on about the differences between each one, why the paint job is coming to Cinderella Castle in Disney World is a big deal, and why it’s even called “Cinderella Castle” and not “Cinderella’s Castle.” To say we love castle news is an understatement.

Disney recently released a “We Call It Imagineering” video on their YouTube channel where they talked about different castle designs. What piqued our interest was mentioning the castle for the new Abu Dhabi Disney park and providing more details for the Disney Adventure coming to the Disney Cruise Line.

In case you missed it, Disney is building a new theme park in Abu Dhabi, and besides the initial news, new information hasn’t been released. During this video, they mentioned continuing to work on the castle for the park.

The Abu Dhabi park will be a “castle park” or Magic Kingdom-style park. Because the city is on the water, they plan to incorporate water for the first time into a castle design.

Disney Imagineers have visited Abu Dhabi and experienced the culture, so they have incorporated elements into the park as well.

For the first time, a castle will be coming to Disney Cruise Line. On the Disney Adventure sailing out of Singapore at the end of this year, there will be a castle onboard inspired by nature. There will also be nods to different Disney Princesses like Moana, Rapunzel, and Anna and Elsa, which has never been done before.

During the video, they said, “it’s that connection people feel when they see a Disney castle,” and we can’t help but feel the same way. It’s an iconic landmark in photos from each generation and one of the first things people think of when you say Disney.
