Animal Kingdom is the name on everybody’s lips today! DinoLand U.S.A. is closed, and the park has a new map to match the direction the park is headed in.

It’s reopened!
To help ease the burden created by the loss of Restaurantosaurus, Disney has revamped Harambe Market and its menu. The quick service, which was originally slated to reopen in March before it got a new February date, has reopened EVEN EARLIER than we thought! We’re bringing you along with us to check out the reopened spot, AND its new menu.
Harambe Market is officially reopened! The quick service spot, located near Kilimanjaro Safaris, has soft opened, so we stopped by to check out the changes. The restaurant hasn’t changed from the looks of things, but the menu is what matters here.

Look at the changes!
This spot previously had rice bowls that we were big fans of, so we have high expectations here. The new menu has some of those classic theme park bites that used to be located at Restaurantosaurus in DinoLand before it closed. During our stop by, we tried several of the new items to see how they hold up compared to our previous snacks at this location.

The full new menu!
First, we tested out the classic Chicken Strips and fries for $10.99. These were the classic chicken strips you know and love! They were meaty and juicy, with that crispy breading on the outside. The fries were traditional skinny fries. Salt, enjoyable, and classic.

The tenders!
We did appreciate that there were lots of sauces to choose from, so you could dress it up however you want.

Dip it!
Next, we tried the Savanna Salad for $11.29. It’s made with Mixed Greens, Lentils, Carrots, Couscous, Kachumbari, Toasted Almonds, and Citrus-Harissa Dressing. This salad was interesting to say the least! The couscous mixed with the greens and almonds created a nice textural combination. The dressing reminded us of a thinner Thousand Island dressing, which had a zingy flavor.

The Savannah Salad
We do think that if you’re looking for a classic salad, this one might not be your favorite option. It’s unique but we didn’t think it was anything to write home about.

Have a bite!
For something sweet, we tried the Kubwa Cookie for $5.29. It’s topped with Chocolate Cream Cookies, Potato Chips, M&M’s, and Dulce de Leche! It sounds super interesting, but how does it taste? This was like something out of a kid’s dream!

The Kubwa Cookie
This cookie was pretty good! We loved the Dulce de Leche in the middle because it was smooth and silky, while not being too runny or messy. This was good, but if you’re looking for something to knock your socks off, we recommend heading to Zuri’s Sweets Shop just a few steps away.

Look at that!
Finally, to wash it all down, we grabbed the Watermelon Lemonade, which features Minute Maid Lemonade for $6.29. This was like if we dropped a Watermelon Jolly Rancher into a sweet lemonade and let them melt together. It’s super sweet, but we really enjoyed the refreshing flavor. We do think it was a bit small for the price.

SO PINK!
We were super excited to see this spot reopen early, especially because this means we won’t have to go even a day without a classic theme park meal in Animal Kingdom. While it might not be the most thrilling new menu, we can appreciate the need for a classic meal.

The full spread!
If you miss those classic bowls, you can head to Kusafiri Coffee Shop and Bakery! They still have rice bowls featuring chicken, beef, and more. They also have that delicious Coconut-flavor iced coffee, which we highly recommend. Be sure to keep following DisneyFoodBlog for more Disney reviews, updates, news, and more.

What shame just another fast food place. No even African spices on the burgers and chicken.
