Disney is constantly developing movies and shows across Disney Animation, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, and more.
Not only do we get to look forward to seeing new Disney works in movie theaters, but each month Disney+ announces new releases, too. If you are a huge Disney entertainment fan, then we’ve got some great news for you!
Disney just released the trailer for Toy Story 5. The movie is set to be released on June 19th, 2026.
D23 is finally here, and we are so excited for this weekend! Kicking it off with some Pixar news:
– Re-releasing Toy Story in Theaters September 12th
– Returning to the Macy's Parade: Buzz Lightyear, Minnie, and Spider-Man!— Disney Food Blog (@DisneyFoodBlog) August 30, 2025
The trailer talks about the battle between toys versus tech as they face off against Lilypad and Smarty Pants. We’ll be introduced to the Multibuzz, which is a 50-piece special edition high-tech buzz toy. They’ll think they’re Space Rangers looking for Star Command. Yikes!
Of course, Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, and Joan Cusack, who voice Woody, Buzz, and Jessie, will all be back for the fifth movie.
Buzz Lightyear will also be in the Macy’s Day Parade. We’re so excited to see the balloon back as it floats over the cities of New York. Minnie Mouse and Spider-Man will be there, too.
The original Toy Story will also be returning to theaters on September 12th, so if you want to relive the feeling of watching your first Pixar movie in the theaters, you’ll be able to next month.
We also got to hear a little bit about Hoppers, the new Pixar movie coming soon. It’s going to be like an animal version of Avatar, where your brain can go into fake animals, and other animals will think that you’re an animal. Can this really be real, please? It will come out on March 6th, 2026.
We’ll continue to bring you the latest Disney entertainment updates, so stay tuned to DFB.

Today, we were invited by Disney to Destination D23.
