Heads up, coffee drinkers: If you’re planning on getting your java fix at a Walt Disney World Starbucks, there are a few things you NEED to know!
Summer-Berry Refresher
Starbucks has been part of the fabric of Disney World for over a decade, with the first locations at the resort opening in the early 2010s. Currently, there is a Starbucks in each of Disney World’s theme parks, as well as two at Disney Springs. While these locations are often popular and packed — I’ve personally waited on some long Starbucks lines over the course of numerous recent visits to the resort — they also have some different rules compared to outside Starbucks locations.
Payment Methods
When making purchases at Walt Disney World Starbucks locations, you can pay using cash, credit or debit cards, Disney Gift Cards, Starbucks Gift Cards, and MagicBands.

Starbucks Rewards
Here’s where things can get a little complicated. Purchases made at each of the on-property Starbucks locations will earn Star Rewards for your Starbucks account. However, these rewards can only be redeemed at the two Disney Springs locations.

This is because the Disney Springs locations are corporate-owned Starbucks stores, while the in-park locations are licensed Starbucks stores operated by Disney.

Mobile Order
Similar to the above Star Rewards example, Mobile Order availability differs across Disney World Starbucks locations. The four in-park Starbucks do not allow Mobile Order, while the Disney Springs locations do.
Get your coffee when you’re rope dropping a park!
You can use your Starbucks app to pay at all of the resort’s Starbucks locations.

It’s nice tho that at the park Starbucks you can use your AP discount as well as DVC discount. And you can still pay with your app. You can also go to your app and change it to points only and use another method to pay for it like a DGC. You still get credit for the drink for points that way and use your other method of payment!
