It’s been five years since Disney World’s historic closure in 2020, but some things still haven’t returned completely to normal.
First, FastPass is a thing of the past, and Disney World replaced it with Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Lightning Lane Single Pass (formerly Genie+). You still can’t have purchases made in the parks sent back to your hotel. MagicBands are no longer free. Another big change concerns Minnie vans, which are operated by Lyft. Before 2020, you could have a Minnie van pick you up at the airport. Now for many Disney World visitors, that’s still true. However, believe it or not, select Disney World hotel guests still have access to that service.
If you are a Disney World hotel guest staying in a Club Level room, you can work with a Disney Signature Services Cast Member to arrange airport transfers via the Minnie Van service. You can contact Disney Signature Services seven days a week from 9 AM to 5 PM ET by calling (407) 939-7777 or emailing [email protected].
Note that unlike before 2020, Minnie Van service to and from the airport is ONLY available for Club Level hotel guests and by contacting Disney Signature Services. You won’t see this option on the Lyft app. However, you are still able to use Minnie Vans to travel around the Disney World resort area — you will see this option on the Lyft app.
Disney has not revealed if the Minnie Van airport service will return for everyone, but so far, it has not, so you might just have to rely on a regular rideshare service, like Uber or Lyft, or book a ride to and from Disney World on Mears Connect. You could also consider renting a car, although you might not need it if you plan to stay on Disney property — Disney has a robust transportation system that pretty much takes you anywhere at the resort you want to go.
