Two new permits have been filed for major changes coming to Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

@Disney
Currently, DinoLand U.S.A. is being transformed in stages into a new land called Pueblo Esperanza. These two new permits are associated with the former meet-and-greet location and the land’s current quick-service dining spot.
Animal Kingdom is changing big time! The progress for Pueblo Esperanza is slowly underway, and these new permits are proof of that. The first of the new permits is a Notice of Commencement for Restaurantosaurus.

Restaurantosaurus
The notice describes “general construction” as the reason for the filing. We know it’s the quick service restaurant because the address listed for construction is 601 Restaurantosaurus Road, Bay Lake, Florida. While this might be a step forward, we know it likely won’t take place for several months because Disney has confirmed this restaurant will stay open throughout 2025.

Restaurantosaurus
Disney has also confirmed that the new quick-service in Pueblo Esperanza will be one of the biggest in Disney World once it opens! Our current belief is that Restaurantosaurus will be expanded during its closure, as well as reimagined to fit the theme of the new land as a hacienda.

The second permit details more “general construction” at 594 Dinoland Drive, Bay Lake, Florida. This spot was the location of the previous meet and greet in DinoLand, which has since closed along with TriceraTop Spin, the Fossil Fun Games, and Chester and Hester’s Dinosaur Treasures.

Donald and Daisy in DinoLand, U.S.A. in 2023
The new land is expected to be completed in 2027 and will feature three new attractions inspired by Encanto and Indiana Jones. We are super excited to see it all come to life, but we are sad to see Dinosaur go extinct. As always, be sure to keep following DFB for more Disney news and updates!
