Every day is a busy one at Disney World, but soon, things are REALLY going to ramp up.
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party kicks off on August 15th, the EPCOT Food & Wine Festival starts on August 28th, and the huge Destination D23 event will begin the very next day. But, if you’re heading to Disney World anytime soon, you need to know about this Festival of Fantasy parade change at Magic Kingdom!
Heads up if you’re heading to Magic Kingdom soon! Showtimes for the Festival of Fantasy parade are changing. Starting on August 10th, the Festival of Fantasy parade will take place at 2 PM instead of the typical 3 PM.
Not only that, but the Adventure Friends Cavalcade will also change showtimes on the same date. Instead of two showtimes in the morning, there will be just one showtime at 11:30 AM as of August 10th. As of now, this change will remain in effect as far as the calendar currently goes out on the Disney World website.
These changes are likely due to the fact that Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party begins the following week on August 15th. The Boo To You parade is an extremely popular part of the event, and Disney likely needs some additional time to move all of those parade floats around — especially with the addition of Disney Starlight!
Starlight — a new nighttime parade — recently debuted at Magic Kingdom, and it is simply gorgeous. The parade features beloved characters from Walt Disney Animation Studios and Disney Pixar films, and some have made their nighttime parade debut in Disney Starlight!
Please be aware that Disney Starlight will not be presented on the nights when Magic Kingdom hosts Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.
We’ll continue to be on the lookout for more updates you need to know about from Disney World and beyond. In the meantime, make sure you stay tuned to the Disney Food Blog for the latest Disney news and more!
