Uh, Disney? Why do you keep putting up new walls? How have you not run out of them yet?
Usually, when walls pop up at Disney World, we know they’re coming. Whether an attraction permanently closes or Disney announces on their website to expect construction, the walls don’t always throw us for a loop. Disney decided to change things up because we have no idea what these walls are for!
At the Transportation and Ticket Center, the big parking lot that has the monorail and ferry boat for Magic Kingdom has walls covering five ticket booths.
Walls are completely covering them on all sides, and when we asked Cast Members what was happening, they didn’t know, either.
It’s been a long time since we’ve seen all the ticket booths in use. Most guests purchase their tickets and vacation packages online beforehand, instead of waiting till they’re at the parks. Is Disney completing renovations on them? Are they running them into something else? We’re not quite sure, but we’re very curious as to what’s happening.
No pathways are being blocked, so you don’t have to worry about any of this construction affecting your trip at this point in time. We’ll keep you updated when we hear what’s happening behind the walls and if it will start affecting your travel.

We normally find ways to circumvent the TTC these days, but we we are/were regulars there, I thought it was a HUGE missed oppoortunity for a quick service location that was open early and late (and all through the day too – sure, why not ). For a lot of people, at the end of the day, the focus becomes getting out of MK, and THEN they realize they are thirsty or hungry (or they will be again beofre they get to their hotel and to bed) and there won’t be anything open/delivering. Or they really just want to rest before getting their ride share, bus, tram, or walking to their cars (so messed up that premiuim parking at MK still involves such a long walk JUST to get to the TTC). Or, maybe they’re arriving for rope drop (not us, but them 😁) and they see the overwhelming crowds and decide it’s just. not. worth. it. and wish they could stop for breakfast instead. It could feature famous favorites from the monorail hotels (tell me you wouldn’t stop for some ‘Ohana noodles), and have happy hour nods to places like Trader Sam’s. Seriously. There’s money just laying on the ground watining to be found at the TTC.
Hubby and I have APs but we have family coming in November and I purchased their tickets online and called DVC member services to get MVMCP tickets
