In 2026, the Muppets are going to take over Hollywood Studios’ Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster, and we NEED to hear these songs in some capacity!
In the fall of 2024, Disney shocked Muppets fans, who were already in mourning over the then-just-announced closure of Muppet*Vision 3D and PizzeRizzo, that the characters would be added to the Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster. At the time, Disney said that the Muppets would be “teaming up with some of music’s biggest stars for a rockin’ music festival!” So, what songs should make up that music festival? Well, we have some ideas!
“The Muppet Show Theme (Meet the Muppets)”
Where else can we begin than with The Muppet Show’s opening theme? The song’s iconic opening lines, “It’s time to play the music, it’s time to light the lights, it’s time to meet the Muppets…” feel like the perfect lead-up to the coaster’s launch if you ask us.
“Mickey Mouse March”
The muppets are built on satire, and their previous attraction didn’t steer clear of playing some gentle fun with Disney. If you were lucky enough to see Muppet*Vision 3D, you know some of the biggest laughs revolved around references to Mickey Mouse, and it would be fitting to cone that in the new coaster, perhaps with a “K-E-R-MIT-F-R-O-GEEEE” version of the march in the ride’s preshow.
A Muppet Parody of an Aerosmith Song
Speaking of parodies, it would only feel appropriate for The Muppets to reference the former stars of the attraction — the “Bad Boys of Boston” themselves, Aerosmith — with a Muppet-ized version of one of their iconic songs somewhere in the rethemed coaster
“Hot to Go” as Sung by Miss Piggy
Dating back to their 1970s heyday, The Muppets have long embraced lampooning current popular culture, and we’d like to see that tradition continue with Piggy channeling her inner Chappell Roan. After all, Disney did license the song for use in a Freakier Friday trailer.
“Rock and Roll All Nite” as covered by Doctor Teeth and the Electric Mayhem
Since the ride’s poster indicates that Doctor Teeth and the Electric Mayhem will be involved in the attraction, it makes sense to include one of their iconic covers. Specifically, we went with this 1970s KISS classic since it matches with the character’s 70s heyday and literally keeps the “ROCK” in Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster.
“Rainbow Connection”
And finally, how can we not want the most iconic of all Muppet songs included on their first ride? Now, granted, the song wouldn’t work for any thrilling portions of the attraction (though the well-known cover by alt-rock favorites Weezer and Paramore singer Hayley Williams might fit the bill), but the tune might be perfect to play as guests are disembarking from the attraction.
It remains to be seen what type of music the Muppets will perform on Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster, but we REALLY hope at least some of these songs make the cut. Stay tuned to DFB for more on this new attraction!

All good suggestions! Especially “Hot to Go” I literally LOL’d when I read that one!
Am I remembering correctly that I read The Muppets would be collaborating with other artists for songs on the new version? I’d love to see a combo of newer and classic songs…something for everyone!
I would love to have “Rock and Roll all Night” for this ride. THAT’S PERFECT
Solid suggestions.
