A brand-new attraction has opened in Disneyland Park! We have been eagerly awaiting its opening, and the time has finally come.

Walt Disney — A Magical Life has officially opened inside the Main Street Opera House on Main Street, U.S.A. This new attraction is now welcoming guests today, July 17th, 2025. However, if you are hoping to watch this new show, you need to know how you can get a spot in line! And you are going to have to be QUICK to snag that spot in line.

Walt Disney — A Magical Life allows guests to experience the story of Walt Disney’s life through remastered footage and audio recordings. The story will take guests through Walt’s early endeavors all the way to Los Angeles. Then, once the curtain rises, guests will be transported to Walt’s office and come face-to-face with Walt Disney in animatronic form. This show features the first-ever audio-animatronic of Walt Disney, making it a truly special experience!

However, you won’t be able to just head inside to get a seat for the show! Walt Disney — A Magical Life will be utilizing the Virtual Queue system to manage guest flow in its opening phase. You will need to join the virtual queue through the Disneyland app to watch this new show. There will be two opportunities each day to join the Virtual Queue, and you will only be able to join the Virtual Queue once per day.

The Virtual Queue will open at 7 AM and at 12 PM (noon). For the 7 AM opening, you will need to have a park reservation for Disneyland Park and valid admission to the park. For the 12 PM opening, you will have either scanned into Disneyland Park or have scanned into Disney California Adventure Park with a Park Hopper ticket.

Once you have joined the Virtual Queue, you will be given a boarding group number, and you will return to the attraction once your boarding group has been called. Even if you receive a boarding group number, you are not guaranteed to be able to experience the show.

We kept an eye on the Virtual Queue this morning on opening day, and boarding groups went FAST! The 7 AM queue filled up in SECONDS. The virtual queue was already listed as “closed” before the clock even got to 7:01 AM.

We had two reporters trying to snag a spot in the queue and one was able to get group 172 while our other reporter was not able to get a group. If you don’t get a group at the 7 AM drop, don’t forget that you can try again at 12 PM.
