We are just ONE week away from the reopening of a popular EPCOT attraction! We have been waiting OVER a year for the updating of this ride, and the time has almost arrived for its reopening.

The attraction has been hosting previews for a few weeks now and has also been opening up in short, surprise spurts for other guests to experience the attraction. But it just one week, the attraction will be open to all guests!

Test Track closed back in June 2024 for reimagining, and the new Test Track 3.0 is officially opening to all guests on July 22nd, 2025. Disney has already confirmed that there will be NO Virtual Queue when the ride reopens. There will be three ways to ride: standing in the standby line, reserving a window with Lightning Lane Multi Pass, or with Lightning Lane Premier Pass.

With recent ride openings like Tiana’s Bayou Adventure and TRON Lightcycle / Run, Disney has utilized a Virtual Queue to help manage the demand for the attraction. However, Disney has decided not to use the Virtual Queue for Test Track. We anticipate that the attraction will likely have a long wait, but it seems as though Disney doesn’t anticipate the wait getting wild and crazy. Of course, we will be keeping a close eye on the attraction when it reopens and providing you with a full report.

We were able to preview the new Test Track 3.0 before it officially opens. The updated attraction includes a brand-new queue, new ride vehicles, and new on-ride scenes. The track itself has remained the same, but the scenery around the track has all been updated.

Currently, Disney World Annual Passholders can also take advantage of opportunities to preview the ride by joining a virtual queue at 7 AM or 1 PM on select days. You can join the 7 AM queue if you have a park pass reservation to EPCOT and a valid Annual Pass. You can join the 1 PM queue without having to be in the park! Preview dates will take place on July 13th, 14th, 15th, 16th, 18th, and 19th.
