CONFIRMED: Test Track Virtual Queue Added to Disney World App Ahead of Annual Passholder Previews

For the past few months, EPCOT has been a little…slower. That’s because one of the park’s iconic (and speedy!) attractions has been closed for refurbishment. Dear Test Track — we miss you!

Disney Imagineers have been busy transforming Test Track (again) for EPCOT fans to “discover the future of transportation on the thrilling road to tomorrow.” Think of it like a blend of the past, present, and future! Soon, this ride will officially open to the public, but before it does, Disney World Annual Passholders are being treated to an exclusive preview of the attraction. We have NEW details about how these previews will work, so let’s talk about it.

If you are a Disney World Annual Passholder, you can register to join a virtual queue to ride Test Track before its official opening date. Preview dates will take place on July 13th, 14th, 15th, 16th, 18th, and 19th.

The virtual queue will open at 7 AM (as long as you have a park pass reservation to EPCOT and a valid Annual Pass). If you are unable to join the queue at 7 AM, you can try again at 1 PM. Luckily, Disney confirmed you do NOT need to be in a theme park to join the virtual queue — just make sure to set your alarm so you’re ready first thing in the morning!

You may only join the virtual queue once per day, and Passholders are not allowed to bring guests to the Test Track previews.

If you miss out on the ride previews, don’t worry — you won’t have to wait long to check out the new ride. Test Track opens to EVERYONE on July 22nd.

Disney Vacation Club Member previews will take place on July 12th. Registration will open on July 8th for those who have booked a hotel reservation before July 6th and are using their membership on July 12th.

Additionally, Club 33 Members and Golden Oak residents will have their previews on July 11th. Disney Vacation Club Members, Club 33 Members, and Golden Oak residents will not use the virtual queue system but will need to register in advance.

So, what can we expect on the new Test Track? The ride features an all-new musical score and new scenes. The retheme focuses on highlighting technology that makes our cars smarter and our lives more fun! If you remember the old World of Motion attraction, you might notice some nods to it in this NEW Test Track iteration. We won’t spoil the whole ride for you, but look (and listen!) carefully.
