4 NEW Permits That Hint at More Disney World CHANGES

Okay, so there’s a LOT of construction going on in Disney World right now. Magic Kingdom is getting an expansion and a new Villains land. Disney’s Hollywood Studios is getting a new land. Even Disney’s Animal Kingdom is…getting a new land. Sensing a trend yet?

One new land coming to Disney’s Animal Kingdom will be known as Pueblo Esperanza and will be inspired by the Tropical Americas. Parts of DinoLand, U.S.A. have already closed to start construction on this new area, but we recently spotted permits that indicate even more locations in DinoLand, U.S.A. that will see construction starting soon. It’s really happening, y’all!

Disney just filed FOUR permits…yep, FOUR, for general construction in areas of Disney’s Animal Kingdom. These areas cover The Boneyard, which we recently discovered would close on September 2nd. The Boneyard is a kids’ play area and will be converted into a new play area that is inspired by the atmosphere of Pueblo Esperanza.

The construction permits also include the area that was once TriceraTop Spin. That ride was demolished in February and has been empty ever since. However, it seems like something new will be going in its place.

Another permit seems to cover an area near Dino-Bite Snacks, which is still open. This seems to be the location for the Wilderness Explorer kiosk in DinoLand, U.S.A. The location is currently open, so we’re not sure what plans Disney has for this space. Perhaps the idea is to keep it, but design the kiosk to better fit into the new land. Guess we’ll see…

Finally, it looks like Trilo-Bites, which is also currently open, is about to get some construction. Will it remain a dining spot? Who knows? (Fingers crossed, though — we’ve found some fun menu items at this spot!)

Disney has not announced closing dates for these three locations, but if they are under construction soon, it looks like they could potentially close soon. We’ll keep an eye out and keep you updated, so stay tuned to DFB for more.
