Here at DFB, we have team members who are avid Disney World popcorn bucket collectors — and we’re proud of that!

Mickey Mouse
Disney World just dropped a brand-new popcorn bucket, and we can’t figure out if it’s cute or genuinely scary. We picked it up, and we’re giving you a look at it!
Our hunt for the brand-new popcorn bucket took us to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. We got it at the popcorn stand on Hollywood Boulevard, right across from Keystone Clothiers. It seemed like it was going to be a popular item amongst guests. This isn’t the first time we’ve encountered this bucket — it debuted at Disneyland for the 70th anniversary celebration earlier this year!

There it is!
The picture of him was staring into our souls, his hands reaching out, before we even got to the physical thing. The cost of the popcorn bucket was $45, which is typically around the usual for specialty popcorn buckets.

Mickey Popcorn Bucket!
Here it is, the Mickey Popcorn Bucket! What do you think…cute or creepy? Maybe it helps to put his arms down, unlike how they are in the picture. No, still a little creepy!

His eyes…
Especially if you stare into his eyes…don’t do that! The popcorn bucket has a feature where it will go through three sound bites. You can keep saying “Hey Mickey” after you flip the switch to on, and rotate through the sound bites. So, talking to the popcorn bucket, and it talks back to you — yeah, not creepy at all. Oh, and he also blinks and turns his head. Yeah.

The on and off switch
You’ll find the on and off switch on Mickey’s back, as well as the speaker. It does take batteries, so be aware of that.

You place the popcorn in the back of his head
His popcorn storage is located on the back of his head. We found it was pretty difficult to open it up. We were actually close to breaking the bucket twice by attempting to open it. It fits an ok amount of popcorn — it really is more of a collectible souvenir than a place to store your popcorn at the park.

Nothing can stop HIM now
Don’t say we didn’t warn you!
Cute, creepy, or whatever, we love it when Disney drops new popcorn buckets for us to add to the collection. Make sure to stay tuned to the Disney Food Blog for more news and updates.
