When it comes to dining at Disneyland, you’ve got a TON of options — so how do you know which to choose?
We recently stopped by Flo’s V8 Cafe at Disney California Adventure to see what was cookin’, and now we’re bringing you our FULL review. Is it worth a stop on your next trip to Disneyland Resort? Find out here!
Atmosphere
Radiator Springs invites you to dine at Flo’s V8 Cafe! This restaurant is the main eatery at Cars Land in Disney California Adventure. Flo’s menu is inspired by all the mom ‘n pop diners along Route 66. Expect comfort food and shakes served up to go along with your meal.
Race fans will love Flo’s dining room, which is fashioned after a showroom and also serves as a museum of artifacts from the legendary race car driver, Doc Hudson. You’ll want to check out Flo’s memorabilia from her glory days with the Motorama Girls while you’re there!
But enough about the restaurant — what’s on the menu here?!
Menu
You’ll find lots of American comfort foods on the menu here, including burgers, fried chicken, pastrami sandwiches, and salads…
…along with some food for kids, including a Micro Burger, Chicken Fenders (tenders), and Mack’s Mac & Cheese.
For dessert, expect classic milkshakes…
…and you’ll find a decent selection of beers and seltzers, plus some premade margaritas. Non-alcoholic beverages are available here, too, of course.
And now, onto the main event — the food!
Eats
First up, we grabbed the Spicy Guacamole Bacon Cheeseburger for $15.99. This is made with your choice of an Angus Beef & Mushroom Patty or Angus Beef Patty, Bacon, Spicy Guacamole, Cheddar, Chipotle Mayo, and Lettuce, and is served with your choice of Cuties® Mandarin Oranges or Fries.
This guy has a kick! The bacon was crispy, with an ample amount of guacamole. The spice stands out, though — this is actually a spicy burger. If you can barely handle “Disney” spice, you might want to avoid this. It’s actually got a noticeable kick. The burger holds up well thanks to the sturdiness of the bun, which was thick but fresh. This burger has a lot of California flair, like the guacamole and chopped lettuce, but you should only get this if you can handle spicy food.
The fries were your standard Disney fries, which is fine with us!
We also ordered Flo’s Famous Fried Chicken with Roasted Garlic Mashed Potatoes, Gravy, and Seasonal Vegetables for $19.99.
This was niiiiiiice and crispy. A big plus is that the portion size is definitely shareable. The chicken itself was cooked perfectly — it wasn’t too dry, which sometimes happens with fast food fried chicken.
The skin was flavorful and crunchy, and the mashed potatoes were creamy with a good amount of seasoning. We appreciated that the veggies also had some seasoning and were fresh and nice as a complementary piece. Definitely tasted like an all-American dinner!
Of course, we had to order drinks and dessert!
Drinks
We opted for Flo’s Classic Shake, which you can get for $7.29. This is a classic Vanilla, Chocolate, or Strawberry Shake topped with “Road Gravel” — we opted for vanilla this time around.
We love that this shake is topped with Oreo bits. Yes, it’s overpriced, but it’s surprisingly sweet and flavorful, and the Oreo bits make for a great cookies and cream shake. The quality is higher than fast food, but it is a small drink, so we can’t give it too much praise. Still, we thought it was tasty and a healthy blend of thick and creamy, making it easy to drink.
To drink, we ordered the Seaborn Cocktails Pomegranate Margarita for $19.50. This is a pre-made cocktail served over ice.
This margarita was refreshing with a slightly bitter but fruity aftertaste. Notes of pomegranate are definitely there, but not overpowering. There was a nice mix of flavor and tequila — it wasn’t too strong. If you’re a pomegranate fiend, you’ll probably dig this; otherwise, it could go either way. It’s a non-offensive cocktail, but it’s also nothing really to write home about. You can find better drinks around this park!
So, is Flo’s V8 Cafe worth a stop on your next visit to Disney California Adventure?

Overall
Flo’s V8 Cafe is a great spot with solid eats in Cars Land at Disney California Adventure. While the food here isn’t mind-blowingly unique, it is consistent and somewhere we come back to again and again. We appreciated the Spicy Guacamole Bacon Burger actually had a bit of a kick — and the fried chicken might give the Plaza a run for its money!
