Disneyland Park is turning 70 years old, and they are pulling out all the stops to celebrate! With all of the partying going on, some special friends have decided to visit during the party, and the latest invitee is too cute to handle. We’re headed into the parks to say hi, and we’re bringing you along with us!

If you’ve never been to Disney California Adventure, you might not know that there’s a little place called Pixar Pier. Pixar Pier is home to some of our favorite rides, spots to eat, and characters to say hi to! Our pals from Toy Story tend to spend quite a bit of time over here, and now, they’re bringing in another friend to celebrate Disneyland’s birthday.

Starting this month, June 2025, you can meet Rex from Toy Story at Pixar Pier! He will only be around for a limited time, but Disney hasn’t given an end date.

We stopped by to say hi to Rex during our latest trip to the park! He is located across from the Pixar Pal-A-Round attraction.

Woah!

He will be meeting periodically throughout the day, so be sure to check your Disneyland app for specific times.

Rex isn’t the only friend making a special appearance during the 70th anniversary celebrations! Duffy and ShellieMay have also traveled across the world to participate in the Disneyland 70th Cavalcade.

These two adorable teddy bears are incredibly popular in Hong Kong Disneyland and Tokyo Disney, however, they have been absent from the U.S. parks for several years, aside from a few special appearances. They have finally returned for the big birthday celebrations, and we couldn’t be happier. Not only are friends returning, but special parades are back, new shows have debuted, and there are SO MANY SNACKS!

We are loving this party so far, which officially runs from May 16th, 2025, until Summer 2026. If you’re really hoping to say hi to our favorite nervous Rex, you might want to stop by sooner rather than later, since Disney didn’t provide an end date.
