Disney’s Hollywood Studios is about to debut TWO brand-new shows! That’s right, in LESS than a week, you will have even more options for entertainment in Hollywood Studios. On May 27th, 2025, Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After AND The Little Mermaid — A Musical Adventure will be opening, and we can’t wait!
We have been keeping a close eye on the changes happening for these new shows! We recently saw Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After for the first time during Cast Member previews. We also got a look at the new marquee for The Little Mermaid — A Musical Adventure and saw some first-look photos from Disney. Now, Disney has shared a first look at the new look for the Sunset Showcase courtyard, and we had to share it with you!
Sunset Showcase was formerly home to Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy, but it is now the new home for Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After. You will find Sunset Showcase right beyond Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster. It is a bit tucked away, but with a new show debuting soon, we have a feeling this area will be getting more popular!
Disney revealed some new photos that give us a look at the new mural and signs that have been put up in the courtyard area. A new mural for the show has been painted on the entrance wall to the theater, and there is also a sign and photo opportunity that we got a first look at.
Plus, Disney shared a look at another sign for the show where the showtimes are displayed! We are getting really close to the grand opening of this new show, and we can’t wait for Sunset Showcase to be welcoming guests once again.
You can watch the new shows beginning May 27th, 2025. On this date, BOTH Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After and The Little Mermaid — A Musical Adventure will be making their debut. There are still more changes coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios as the Muppets Courtyard area will be closing to begin construction on the new Monsters, Inc. Land, and the Muppets will be taking over Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster!
