Just because it’s in Disneyland doesn’t mean it’s magical.
There are some spots around the resort that sound good on paper—or at least look decent on the app—but once you’ve actually eaten there, it’s a different story. We’re talking overpriced, underwhelming, or just straight-up “why did I waste a reservation on this?” bad. So today, we’re breaking down three Disneyland restaurants the experts, straight-up refuse to book… and a few we’d book again and again.
Galactic Grill
Galactic Grill in Tomorrowland should be fun. Space-themed burgers? Star Wars-adjacent vibes? Sounds promising. But let’s just say there are other quick service spots around the park that will give you a tastier and more unique experience.
If you’re thinking, “Well, it’s just theme park food,” trust us—you can do better at Disneyland, even at quick service. Save your stomach and your money.

Wine Country Trattoria
Located over in Disney California Adventure, Wine Country Trattoria sounds like a relaxing break from the crowds. It has the wine. It has the ambiance. It has that terrace patio that makes you think you’re about to have a peaceful, Tuscan-inspired meal.
Here’s the deal: It’s not bad. It’s just not the greatest. The pasta is forgettable, the entrees are a tad basic, and nothing on the menu really feels worthy of the price tag. If you’re going to use up one of your precious dining reservations, we say skip the Trattoria and aim for somewhere that actually surprises you—in a good way.

Naples Ristorante e Bar
Yes, it’s one of the more visible dining options in Downtown Disney. And yes, pizza should be a safe bet, especially when you’re traveling with a group. But for some, Naples manages to miss the mark almost every time.
When Disneyland has so many amazing snacks, treats, and hidden gem meals tucked all over the parks, settling for Naples just feels like giving up. There are better pizzas. There are better pastas. Honestly, there are better vibes literally steps away.

So Where Do We Book?
We’re not here just to complain—we’ve got some favorites, too. If you want to make your dining reservation count, here are a few spots we’d book again in a heartbeat:
- River Belle Terrace – This spot in Frontierland is one of our go-to’s for solid comfort food, great views, and a chill atmosphere that’s hard to beat.
- Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar – Yes, it’s popular for a reason. The drinks are strong, the snacks are underrated, and the theming? Next-level fun. It’s a whole experience, and we always recommend carving out some time for it.
Bottom line: you don’t have to settle. With so many genuinely great places to eat around Disneyland, don’t waste your time—or your appetite—on the ones that never hit the mark.
