Some restaurants are true winners in Disney World, and others are far from it.
For as long as we can remember, we haven’t recommended eating at Pizzafari in Animal Kingdom unless you’re looking for puffy pizza specifically, or you’ve got a picky group and need something simple to appease everyone. Otherwise, we typically stay far away from this generic spot, but something wild happened on our last visit — we grabbed three items that actually had us VERY impressed!
To drink we grabbed the iconic Island Treasure for $6.29, which is a slush drink that has layers of Mango and Strawberry Slushy. The strawberry flavor is most prominent here, but we didn’t mind that! The two flavors mix very well together, and it’s extremely refreshing. We do recommend eating this with a spoon though, because the paper straws served here do often fall apart pretty quickly.
Our main event was the Cheese Garlic Bread for $6.99, which comes with 3 pieces, but we also grabbed the Tomato Bisque Soup to dip it in for $5.79. While the cheese is only on one side, it’s also almost broiled into the bread, which we loved. It was brilliantly chewy and soft — cooked just enough so the cheese fully melted, but not too much that it got hard to eat!
As for the Tomato Bisque Soup, this is SO much better than other versions you can get around the resort. It was a hearty portion, had a great flavor, and wasn’t too watery, which is sometimes an issue we’ve run into. We really loved it!
If you’re heading into Pizzafari and want something that you know will be delicious, we highly recommend these items, which is something we never thought we’d say.

We just ate there yesterday. I would not recommend eating there. The Cesar Salad had huge chunks of lettuce. Couldn’t cut it with the plastic knife small enough. The chicken pasta was extremely dray and barely warm. Not tasty at all. The cheese toast was so dry and hard it was barely eatable. Crust wasn’t eatable. I would not recommend this place to anyone, not even an enemy. We were just trying somewhere different but will not try them again.
