We love casting spells at Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley, but we’ve been twiddling our wands waiting for more details about the Wizarding World of Harry Potter — Ministry of Magic at Epic Universe to drop.

Ever since Universal Studios Orlando announced a brand new third gate, they’ve been slowly releasing information about what to expect inside the park. We finally have an insider look into the Ministry of Magic, and we have so much to share!

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter — Ministry of Magic will be Universal’s third chapter in the Harry Potter franchise. This land focuses on 1920s wizarding Paris from Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, mixed with elements from the later Harry Potter movies. Once you step through the portal…

…you are in 1920s Paris, but the music is ICONIC Harry Potter.

There are so many wonderful details in this land that really make you feel like you’re in 1920s Paris.

Just LOOK AT THIS gorgeous arch.

The whole atmosphere and theming is TOP NOTCH, y’all.

Then there’s this beautiful statue. Note that even the Toilets sign fits right into the theming.

We just CAN’T with all these wonderful theming details. It’s truly magical. Below, you can see the test seats for the Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry attraction.  Our guide told us that the test seats are “some of the most accommodating test seats.”

Speaking of the Battle at the Ministry, let’s talk about the attraction called Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry. This new ride will take you through the Ministry’s lifts to watch the trial of Professor Delores Umbridge. SPOILER ALERT: When she escapes, you will travel in all sorts of directions throughout the lifts, helping capture Professor Umbridge! Guests will enter the ride via floo powder, and we’re super excited to see how this effect will work.

The ride is part motion simulator with a touch of Tower of Terror and a dab of Rise of the Resistance. Unlike Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey, it doesn’t have domed screens. Instead, it’s more similar to The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man at Islands of Adventure.

And now we’re at the trial of Dolores Umbridge. Y’all…this queue is INCREDIBLE. It’s also MASSIVE.

We really are at the Ministry of Magic in London — we won’t accept any arguments against that.

Note that there is a Single Rider line.

The ride itself is WILD and we will be covering it in a separate post because there is SO much to tell you about. For now, though, here’s more Higgledy. WE LOVE HER.

At Le Cirque Arcanus, guests can watch a full theater show with performers, puppets, and special effects! This show will feature our Fantastic Beasts friends as they take over the circus and need to be rescued before the end. We’ll be back later to check out the show, but for now, check out some other FUN live entertainment!

This area of Epic Universe will also have five eateries, from quick cafes to longer dining experiences, and, of course, plenty of spaces to shop and practice your spell-casting skills! You can even pick up your new wand at the Parisian wand store Cosme Acajor Baguettes Magique. They’ll have a new collection of interactive wands that you can use within the land to learn new spells!
