This year is a HUGE year for Marvel. In addition to the recent release of Captain America: Brave New World, we’ve still got MORE Marvel movies to look forward to in theaters this year.

That includes Thunderbolts* and The Fantastic Four: First Steps. But if you subscribe to Disney+, you’ve got some Marvel TV to look forward to, as well, including Daredevil: Born Again, Ironheart, Eyes of Wakands, Marvel: Zombies, and Wonder Man. However, let’s get back to Captain America: Brave New World, which released in February 2025. If you’re holding out for the film to come on Disney+ (or you’re just wanting to see it again at home), we’re going to tell you when that might happen.

The general rule of thumb for Marvel movies is that they usually come to Disney+ about three months after they release. If we do the math, with Captain America: Brave New World releasing in February, it’s likely the movie will hit the streaming subscription service in May. For example, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 released in theaters in May 2023 and arrived on Disney+ in August.

However, Deadpool and Wolverine released in theaters in July 2024 and didn’t make it to Disney+ until in November, about four months from its original theatrical release. So if we’re looking at that, it could be June before Captain America: Brave New World makes it to the streamer.

Although Captain America: Brave New World opened to strong box office numbers, those numbers decreased drastically in its second week at the box office, according to Variety. The film saw a 68 percent drop in its second weekend, suggesting it might make it to streaming sooner, rather than later. So our best guess is that we’ll see the film make it to streaming in May.

Of course, we won’t know for certain until Disney announces the movie’s debut on streaming. We’ll probably get an announcement about its release on video on demand services first, so we’ll be keeping an eye out for that.
