We FINALLY Know When ‘Moana 2’ Will Premiere on Disney+

After months of waiting, we finally know when Moana 2 will premiere on Disney+!

The sequel to the Oscar-nominated Disney film was originally developed as a TV series, but it was revamped into a movie that ended up making more than $1 billion at the box office. You can stream Moana 2 on Disney+ beginning on March 12th, 2025.

Moana 2 “reunites Moana and Maui three years later for an expansive new voyage alongside a crew of unlikely seafarers. After receiving an unexpected call from her wayfinding ancestors, Moana must journey to the far seas of Oceania and into dangerous, long-lost waters for an adventure unlike anything she’s ever faced.”

In case you missed it, the movie made box office history by being the highest global box office debut for an animated movie ever, the biggest Thanksgiving movie release ever, and the highest-grossing five-day release of all time.

To say that people enjoy these Moana stories would be an understatement!

Moana 2 mostly lives up to the hype and I was very happy with the end result. While it’s not as good as the first or a flawless movie, I still think most audiences will enjoy this regardless of age and gender, and if you’re a big fan of the first one like me, you need to check this new Disney animated movie out!
