In the aftermath of the devastating fires that have ripped through the greater Los Angeles area in recent weeks, Universal Studios Hollywood is offering first responders complimentary tickets in recognition of their heroic efforts.
Universal’s announcement about the exclusive tickets reads in part, “Universal Studios Hollywood salutes first responders for their heroic efforts during the devastating Los Angeles wildfires with the ‘First Responder Heroes Ticket.'”
Universal stated that as a way to “thank those who assisted our community, all eligible active U.S.-based first responders can enjoy one complimentary general admission ticket and a 50% savings on up to three additional tickets, now through April 10, 2025.”
Some of the terms and conditions attached to the deal include the following:
- The offer is available for eligible active U.S.-based first responders at either a public or private agency/entity in the following categories only: paramedics/emergency medical technicians, firefighters, police officers/Sheriff’s deputies, and National Guard members.
- Each eligible first responder will receive one (1) complimentary 1-Day General Admission ticket to Universal Studios Hollywood, and may purchase up to three (3) additional 1-Day General Admission tickets for friends and family at fifty percent (50%) off the standard Front Gate ticket pricing on the day of visit.
- Offer excludes retired and volunteer first responders.
- Limit one redemption per eligible first responder.
- All accompanying guests must be present with the first responder at the time of the visit to receive the discounted rate.
- Offer is only available in person at the Front Gate for same-day use and cannot be purchased online.
- To redeem the offer, eligible first responders must present a valid government-issued photo ID and valid employee ID card for qualifying first responder occupation.
- Offer is nontransferable and cannot be combined with any other offers, separately ticketed events, discounts, or prior purchases. Universal Studios Hollywood reserves the right to determine eligibility for this offer at its sole discretion, and all decisions made by Universal Studios Hollywood are final and binding.
Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal CityWalk were closed on January 8th and 9th due to the encroaching wildfires. At the time, the park released a statement that said in part, “We extend our heartfelt sympathies to those impacted by the recent and ongoing fires, as well as our deepest appreciation to the first responders for their valiant and ongoing efforts during this difficult time.”

The Heroes Ticket will be available to eligible California firefighters and eligible LA-based law enforcement and emergency medical technicians who helped combat the LA fires in January 2025. This ticket will also be available to eligible individuals from other departments that provided mutual aid assistance. The Heroes Ticket will be valid from May 5th to August 7th, 2025, on Mondays through Thursdays. A theme park reservation will be required and is subject to availability.
More detailed information, including eligibility and verification requirements, and how to register for this offer, will be communicated directly to qualifying fire, police, and sheriff’s departments in April.
