If you’re heading to the Disneyland Resort in March, be forewarned that one of its premier hotel restaurants, Storytellers Cafe, will be closed for a brief refurbishment.

The popular eatery, located at the Grand Californian Hotel, will be “temporarily closed for refurbishment for a few weeks in March,” according to Disney.

When examining Disneyland’s calendar, Storytellers Cafe is still taking reservations through Sunday, March 2nd. That is the last date currently showing as available.

The Disneyland website advises that the Hearthstone Lounge, the resort’s fireplace-lit lounge that generally “offers a full bar and masterfully crafted culinary selections, ranging from light bites to sandwiches, burgers, steak, and other delectable entrees,” is going to offer extended hours and offerings during the closure.

Storyteller’s Cafe

Disney boasts that the Storytellers Cafe allows diners to “celebrate California folklore over a bountiful buffet.” The restaurant offers two character dining opportunities in its Craftsman-style dining room each day: Mickey’s Tales of Adventure Breakfast Buffet and Mickey’s Tales of Adventure Brunch Buffet. Both offer smorgasbords of food in addition to encounters with Mickey & friends.

The restaurant’s dinner buffet doesn’t feature characters but does offer “savory entrée selections or succulent prime rib from the carving station. Delicious dishes include the pasta of the day, roasted chicken, seasonal fish, a rotating chef’s selection of sides, salads, and much more.”
