You Might Want to AVOID Magic Kingdom on January 30th Thanks to This MAJOR Change

Okay, so you’ve done all your planning for your Disney World trip, and you know where you’re staying, how long you’re staying, what tickets you need, and all that other stuff. Maybe you’re even working on your packing list…or maybe you’ve even started packing.

So what are you forgetting? Well, if you are going to Disney World, there’s one thing a lot of us forget to do when we visit. We often forget to check park hours. Well, if you haven’t checked park hours and you’ll be in Disney World this week…you’ll need to know that Magic Kingdom will be closing a lot earlier on January 30th than normal.

As we previously reported, Magic Kingdom will be closing at 4:30 PM (yep, SUPER early) on January 30th, so if you had plans to visit the park on that day, you may want to revise those plans and visit a different park or have a plan to park hop once Magic Kingdom closes — note that you will need the park hopping add-on added to your ticket, though, if you wish to visit another park.

So why is Magic Kingdom closing so early? Well, it’s likely there’s some kind of special event happening that evening, although Disney hasn’t confirmed its reason for the early park closure (and Disney rarely does). This is why, though, we always tell you it’s a good idea to keep an eye on park hours before your trip, so you’re prepared to rearrange your plans if you have to. However, if you do go to Magic Kingdom on that date, you’ll probably see a sign at the entrance notifying you that its closing early on that day.
