It’s been a little while since we’ve heard anything about a new show that’s supposedly coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
The new show, “The Little Mermaid — A Musical Adventure,” was originally supposed to open in Fall 2024 but has recently been pushed to Summer 2025, and a new permit was filed for the area, but that’s the last we’ve heard of it. This new show is replacing the former Voyage of the Little Mermaid show, which hasn’t been performed since before the 2020 park closures, and the building has been sitting empty. However, we’ve got an update now that definitely shows things are moving forward — a new casting call has been released!
Disney just released a new casting call for Puppeteers for The Little Mermaid — A Musical Adventure on the Disney Careers website! This is an online casting call that will be accepting auditions through October 27th.
In the casting call, it states that these puppeteers will also be performing as fully-costumed Disney characters in the parks and around the resorts. Performers must be between 5’2″ and 6’3″and have previous puppeteering experience, and they’ll be considered for both the new Little Mermaid show as well as Festival of the Lion King in Animal Kingdom!
