“I Feel Like I Just Drank Skittles.” Disney’s New Drink Could Be DIVISIVE!

It’s spooky season, and we’ve been trying out all the fall and Halloween snacks throughout Disneyland Resort.

We made sure to grab the exclusive snacks at the SOLD OUT Oogie Boogie Bash in California Adventure. We also are STILL dreaming about that Blackberry Cheesecake Crostata we had at Jolly Holiday in Disneyland. Of course, we also had the Pumpkin Macaron there (how could we NOT?). So when we learned a new spooky Halloween Dole Whip was coming to Disneyland, YOU KNOW WE WERE THERE TO TRY IT. Yes, there’s a new spooky Dole Whip in Disneyland.

This spooky Dole Whip can be found at Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar at the Disneyland Hotel. Meet the Nightmare Grog Dole Whip (yep, it’s got a Nightmare Before Christmas theme). The Dole Whip comes in a cute Nightmare Before Christmas souvenir cup for $9.50. You can also get it as a float or as a float with rum (Captain Jack Sparrow would certainly approve!). It’s made with mango and pineapple Dole Whip with a hint of Gorilla Grog (which is basically POG juice).

So we have mixed feelings about this Dole Whip. It looks super cool and gives off Oogie Boogie vibes. Like most Dole Whips, it also melts fast and gets messy. We can deal with that. It’s VERY sugary, but it’s also tart enough to make you pucker. Now, some folks like that, and some don’t.

We’re honestly feeling a little ambivalent about it: it’s not bad, but we wouldn’t say we love it either. However, our reporter said, “I feel like I just drank a Skittles.”
