Heed Our Warning — This NEW Disney World Beverage Will BAMBOOZLE You

It’s Halloween season in Disney World and that means pumpkins are EVERYWHERE.

From the Magic Kingdom decor to the merchandise collections, we’re seeing pumpkins pop up all over the place. But perhaps the most prevalent pumpkin sightings are all the seasonal snacks! It IS pumpkin spice season after all. And recently, we decided to try out another (rather unique!) pumpkin treat.

Recently we stopped by Narcoossee’s at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort to try out their Pumpkin Butter Cocktail. This drink is $17 and made with Los Siete Misterios Mezcal, Amaro Nonino, house-made pumpkin butter, vanilla, and topped with a torched spiced marshmallow.

There it is!

The smoky flavor of the Mezcal is strong on the nose and was really the main flavor in the first sip. After stirring the cocktail, you get a little bit more of the pumpkin and vanilla flavors. It’s really a warm, savory drink, and the spice from the Amaro Nonino blends well into the drink and provides a little citrus and licorice in the background.

Definitely Halloween-ish!

The glass is rimmed with black salt and the cocktail is garnished with two marshmallows, which were really the only sweet elements of the beverage. It doesn’t really taste like pumpkin pie or any other pumpkin treat, and that might really surprise some people. The pumpkin butter has a bit of a pulpy consistency, not really smooth like a milkshake.

Peep those marshmallows!

Ultimately, this would be a good pre-dinner drink, but it’s not a dessert beverage like you may be expecting. Steer clear of this if you’re hoping for something sweet!
