OPENING TIMELINE Revealed for New Downtown Disney Restaurant!

Downtown Disney at Disneyland Resort is home to many different delicious restaurants and exciting shopping excursions that make for a great break from the Disneyland parks while still experiencing Disney magic.

New Downtown Disney Entrance

Since things are almost always changing in Disney resorts, we’re looking forward to some new additions that are being added to the area over the course of the coming years. And now we finally have an opening timeline for this new restaurant!

Porto’s Bakery & Café is an iconic name in Southern California, known for its delicious pastries, desserts, and savory Cuban food, that dates back to 1976. There are currently six locations in SoCal, with a seventh on the way to Downtown Disney.

We’ve known about the addition for a little while now, but thanks to Business Wire, we now know the new addition is coming in 2025! Unfortunately, that’s all the information we have right now, and we don’t know if it’s coming early, mid, or late 2025, but at least we know we only have about a year longer to wait!

Downtown Disney

The addition to Downtown Disney was announced by Disney Parks, Experiences and Products Chairman Josh D’Amaro during the 2022 D23 Expo, along with Din Tai Fung, Centrico, and Paseo, all of which are now open. It’ll be located at the former spot of La Brea’s Bakery, which is near the Esplanade.

In case you missed it, there were also TONS of new announcements about new attractions coming to Disneyland Resort at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event this past weekend! Just to name a few of the massive announcements, Avatar is coming to Disney California Adventure, Avengers Campus is expanding with TWO new rides, and a new Coco boat ride will be coming to the resort!
