Disney World is a fun place to get your run on! Tons of people show up each year for the exciting runDisney races that are held at the resort. These races have become extremely popular and often sell out quickly. If you’re ready to run around the parks, then get ready for the Springtime Surprise Race Weekend in 2025; Disney has just announced the new theme for the upcoming year!
The Springtime Surprise weekend will take place on April 3rd through the 5th, 2025, and this year it’s all about celebrating heroes!

There will be a 5K, 10K, or 10-miler or you can participate in the Challenge series which combines all three races for a total of 19.3 miles! The 5K race will have you running like you’re a Guardian of the Galaxy with Groot.

The 10K will be 6.2 miles of heroism led by Hercules and other friends from the movie!

Then find your Super Suit, because Mrs. Incredible, Mr. Incredible, and Frozone will be pushing you for all 10 miles of fun!

Or be the hero of the weekend by taking on the race Challenge by completing all three races for a grand total of 19.3 miles with Baymax and Hiro from Big Hero 6!

Before you start your races, warm up with Disney Heroes Yoga on a morning before the races begin.

And wind down at the end of the weekend with runDisney Springtime Surprise Splash — a night at Typhoon Lagoon Water Park! Registration for Club runDisney Gold & Platinum members begins August 20th, 2024 and general registration opens August 27th, 2024.

These race weekend events are tons of fun and a great way to experience Disney World. You’ll see your favorite superheroes and get to celebrate with them as you run. Don’t miss out on those registration dates, because race spots will go fast!
