Ahoy mateys! We have MORE details on one of the newest Disney cruise ships — the Disney Destiny!
Not only have we heard about a new Lion King restaurant but there will be a Villains-themed attraction onboard and even a Haunted Mansion bar. Now we have detail on who you will be able to meet and see onboard the ship!
As with the other ships of the Disney Cruise Line, the Destiny will feature many dining options — including rotational dining, other restaurants, heavily themed lounges, a food court-like market, and treat locations — entertainment, a spa, activities, pools, and even a water coaster. On top of that, there will be loads of characters you can meet on the ship or see in shows on the ship! Lets take a look at a few of the characters that we know will be onboard the Disney Destiny!
Disney has shared that those onboard the ship will encounter loads of villains — including Maleficent, Hades, Cruella de Vil, Captain Hook, Mr. Smee and Oogie Boogie. These interactions will happen through a variety of shows, meet-and-greets, and special appearances throughout the ship. Captain Jack Sparrow, Bruno, and Loki have been listed as well!
Wondering how you’ll meet some of these characters? Well there will be a dance party in Oogie Boogie’s lair and an interactive Disney trivia event that will be interrupted by Disney Villains! SO COOL!
And it doesn’t stop there. There will also be a Haunted Mansion bar on the Disney Destiny. And Disney has shared that characters from the Haunted Mansion attractions all over the world will socialize in mysterious ways during this experience. There will also be new “arrivals and an original storyline focused on a ship captain.”
Since this ship focuses on both villains and heroes, we bet there will plenty of them onboard as well! Disney has already shared that there will be characters from The Lion King, One Hundred and One Dalmatians, and Hercules.
This ship truly seems so EPIC and we are very eager to learn more and to step onboard!!
As of now, the ship is scheduled for delivery in 2025 and will join the Disney Cruise Line’s new fleet of ships, including the Disney Wish, Disney Treasure, and the Disney Adventure, which will have a homeport in Singapore. Stay tuned for booking information and more!
