The Disney Destiny will be a sister ship to the Disney Wish and Disney Treasure, and Disney revealed that the ship will have a first-of-its-kind design theme!
Aboard the Disney Destiny, you must choose a side: Heroes or Villains. The ship’s theme will be inspired by Disney Heroes and Villains and will draw “on the legacies of beloved Disney stories, characters, and theme park attractions.” And, we officially know when we’ll learn more about this ship!
Disney has been keeping much of the details close, but we think we might know when we’ll get some exciting announcements! In a post on Instagram, Disney Cruise Line said to keep an eye out beginning on July 30th for a three-day reveal of the Disney Destiny!
Disney has also been sending out PR packages to get folks excited about the announcements, including a ton of patches that give us pretty good clues about the ship. Not only that, but Disney Destiny bookings will open on August 9th, according to journalist Scott Gustin.
We’ve already had some clues about this ship, but thanks to these patches we’re pretty confident we can expect to see elements of Marvel, Pixar, the Haunted Mansion, Pirates of the Caribbean, Hercules, Cruella, and more!
According to Disney, Imagineers were “inspired by the dynamic duality of every great Disney story when developing this new ship, where opposing forces of light and dark drive characters to rise to their purpose.” Look out for both heroes and villains onboard the ship, including characters from The Lion King, One Hundred and One Dalmatians, and Hercules. Disney teased new spaces, experiences, and entertainment on the ship inspired by the heroes and villains of those popular Disney films.
Currently, the ship is scheduled for delivery in 2025 and will join the Disney Cruise Line’s new fleet of ships, including the Disney Wish, Disney Treasure, and the Disney Adventure, which will have a homeport in Singapore. Stay tuned for booking information and a sailing timeline!
