Disney Cruise Line just keeps getting better and better (and BIGGER!)
The Disney Treasure will be the sixth ship in the Disney Cruise Line fleet and is set to take its Maiden Voyage with passengers later this year. The ship is inspired by “Walt Disney’s lifelong love of adventure,” and Disney just shared exciting new details about it!
A BRAND-NEW Guardians of the Galaxy-themed dinner show is coming to the Disney Treasure cruise ship! “Marvel Celebration of Heroes: Groot Remix,” will be an immersive dining experience — and if we know anything about Groot, this is sure to be an entertaining meal!
The dinner show will follow Groot as he brings diners along for an on-screen quest to throw a surprise party for his dear friend, Rocket Raccoon. During dinner, you’ll be listening to an “awesome mix” of songs, while answering trivia questions to test your Marvel knowledge!
The experience will take place at the Worlds of Marvel restaurant on one of two nights. The other night, passengers can experience Avengers: Quantum Encounter. We got to experience this on the Disney Wish and had a great time! This marks the first Guardians of the Galaxy dining experience for Disney Cruise Line and means folks will get to see two Marvel dinner shows on Disney Treasure cruises.
Not only that, but Disney announced that an Aristocats lounge will be coming to the Disney Treasure as well! The Scat Cat Lounge is a jazz club-style venue themed after the 1970 animated classic The Aristocats, with specific inspiration coming from the film’s “Ev’rybody Wants to be a Cat” sequence.
The Disney Treasure, which will take its Maiden Voyage with passengers on December 21, 2024, will be the sixth ship in the Disney Cruise Line fleet. While the Disney Wish is known as Disney’s “Castle on the Seas,” the Disney Treasure will celebrate “Walt Disney’s lifelong love of adventure,” as announced in September 2022 by Disney Parks, Experiences and Products Chairman Josh D’Amaro.
We can’t wait to experience this brand-new cruise ship, the Disney Treasure. In the meantime, we’ll be keeping up with the latest updates about this ship and more Disney Cruise Line news — so stay tuned to Disney Food Blog for more!
