Ready, set, go, Disneyland runners!
runDisney has announced the highly-anticipated themes for the 2025 Half Marathon Weekend, and we’ve got all the info you need to plan your perfect runDisney weekend!. The events, scheduled for the weekend of January 30th through February 2nd, 2025 will feature numerous events including a 5K, a 10K, and a Half Marathon.
Disneyland 5K
The Disneyland 5K, scheduled for Friday January 31st, will have a Marvel superhero theme. According to Disney, you’ll be able to “Rocket on over to the heroic 2025 Disneyland 5K. Hosted by Groot, this 3.1-mile jaunt will be epic fun for everyone!” Registration for the event begins on June 11th for Club runDisney Gold and Platinum members, and June 18th at 10AM ET for the general public. Registration costs $120 from June 18th through December 16th and raises to $130 from December 17th through January 23d.
Disneyland 10K
The Disneyland 10K, scheduled for Saturday February 1st, has a Star Wars theme during which you’ll be able to “Lace up for excitement during the Star Wars-themed 2025 Disneyland 10K featuring Ahsoka Tano. As part of this 6.2-mile journey, you’ll experience galactically great entertainment, Characters and more!” Registration for the event begins on June 11th for Club runDisney Gold and Platinum members, and June 18th at 10AM ET for the general public. Registration costs $175 from June 18th through December 16th and raises to $185 from December 17th through January 23d.
Disneyland Half Marathon
Finally, the main event Half Marathon is scheduled for Sunday, February 2nd and themed to Safari Mickey. This year, runDisney is encouraging you to “Prepare for an enchanting escapade during the 2025 Mickey Mouse and Friends-themed Disneyland Half Marathon. And with Safari Mickey Mouse as your host, you’re sure to rock this 13.1-mile trek.” Registration for the event begins on June 11th for Club runDisney Gold and Platinum members, and June 18th at 10AM ET for the general public. Registration costs $260 from June 18th through December 16th and raises to $270 from December 17th through January 23d.
Dumbo Double Dare
If you’re planning to push yourself as far as possible, the Dumbo Double Dare is for you. Described by Disney as “two times the fun with three times the medals”, this 19.3-mile challenge offers a special medal for completion of both the Disneyland 10K and the Disneyland Half Marathon on pace. Registration for the event begins on June 11th for Club runDisney Gold and Platinum members, and June 18th at 10AM ET for the general public. Registration costs $440 from June 18th through December 16th and raises to $460 from December 17th through January 23d.
In addition to the three major races, Half Marathon weekend will also include a slew of other activities including:
Disneyland Yoga, which is scheduled for Thursday July 30th, is hosted by Baymax from Big Hero 6 and takes place in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle. Registration opens at 10AM ET on June 18th, and costs $130.
The runDisney Health & Fitness Expo, where you’ll pick up your race bib, participant shirt, and any pre-purchased merchandise, will be open from Thursday January 30th through Saturday February 1st.
Kids Races, which are broken down into 4 age groups (0-1, 1-3, 4-6, and ages 7-9), are hosted by Dug from Disney and Pixar’s UP. Registration opens at 10AM ET on June 18th, and costs $40.
