THE DAY WE’VE BEEN WAITING FOR IS NEARLY HERE!!!
Our anticipation has only been building since Tiana’s Bayou Adventure was announced in 2020 to replace Magic Kingdom and Disneyland’s Splash Mountain. After countless construction and merchandise updates, we finally have the BIGGEST update! Soon, YOU can FINALLY ride the brand new attraction!
OK, Disney fans, mark June 28th in your calendars because that’s when you can FINALLY ride Tiana’s Bayou Adventure! The ride will be available via a virtual queue when it opens — you can click here to learn more about that.
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will also be part of Disney Genie+ when it opens. That means this ride will NOT have an individual (or a la carte) Lightning Lane. To ride, you’ll be able to purchase Genie+ for Magic Kingdom (or get the multi-park Genie+ option) and reserve a Lightning Lane for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. Click here to read more about that.
The new attraction is a log flume ride that still features a 52.5-foot drop and takes riders on a tour of the bayou based on Disney Animation’s 2009 classic The Princess and the Frog. Riders will join Princess Tiana and jazz-loving alligator Louis after the events of the 2009 film as they prepare for a Mardi Gras and New Orleans celebration. The attraction will also feature many familiar faces, some new ones, heavy Louisiana inspiration, and new and returning music.
Disney has confirmed that Magic Kingdom will host preview opportunities ahead of the official grand opening for Florida-based Cast Members, Annual Passholders, eligible Disney Vacation Club Members, and D23 Gold Members. Here’s what you need to know.

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure
Annual Passholders
Annual Passholders will need to make a park reservation at Magic Kingdom on one of the preview dates to have the opportunity to join the 7AM virtual queue — or, make a park reservation at any of the parks to have the opportunity to join the 1PM virtual queue.
Magic Kingdom Park Passes for the preview dates are already starting to fill up so book them quickly if you’re hoping to try and join that 7AM virtual queue.

Disney has announced that this summer there will be D23 Member events at Disney World celebrating The Princess and the Frog. During one separately ticketed event, D23 Gold Members will get the chance to “be among the first” to experience Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. According to Disney, “D23 Gold Members will be able to ride the attraction again and again, then take some time to enjoy the enchanting evening ambiance of the bayou with live jazz performances and tasty treats available during this celebration of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.”
The event is set to be held on June 22nd and tickets go on sale ($60 + $7 fee) on May 16th (Thursday) at 1PM ET.
