A new Disney Springs dessert has our mouths watering…

The Polite Pig

The Polite Pig prides itself as featuring a menu “inspired by the best seasonal food that Florida has to offer, bringing new twists to local flavors and BBQ.” The restaurant’s newest dessert certainly lives up to that billing.

The Polite Pig announced on Instagram that they’ve introduced a brand new Sweet Potato Spice Cake. Along with a photo of the scrumptious sounding dessert, the restaurant added a caption that broke down exactly what it was.

According to the Polite Pig, the cake is described as, “Oven-roasted sweet potatoes harmonize with fragrant spices, crowned with zesty orange cream cheese frosting, house-made pecan brittle, and a captivating spiced vinegar syrup drizzle. Dive into a slice of pure bliss today!”

The Polite Pig’s new dessert offering joins the restaurant’s already stacked menu. Currently, the eatery offers a mixture of down-home BBQ sandwiches including pulled pork, brisket, fried chicken, and turkey, as well as a selection of smoked options including jalapeño cheese sausage, chicken, ribs, pork, and brisket. These BBQ favorites can be paired with traditional sides including grilled street corn, baked beans, mac and cheese, and burnt ends chili.

Beyond those traditional BBQ offerings, the restaurant also offers some dishes slightly outside of what one would expect from a theme park-adjacent BBQ restaurant, including smoked cedar plank salmon, and a unique take on duck wings drizzled with sweet tea glaze and pecans.
