NOW is the time to head to Disneyland Resort!
Why is that? Because it’s Pixar Fest! The beloved celebration has returned this spring/summer with new character meets, special parades, fireworks shows, and so much more. As part of the celebrations, there’s an exciting new character update…and we just HAD to share it with you!
Dug, the beloved dog from Up, is one of the characters meeting during Pixar Fest. But this time, he’s got a TWIST — he can now talk!
During Pixar Fest, you can meet Dug at Redwood Creek Challenge Trail, and you can hear his many hilarious catchphrases. Seriously, Dug had us LOL-ing during the media event when we first encountered him! Check out the video below.
@disneyfoodblog certified yapper 😭❤️ Dug SPEAKS for #PixarFest 😭😍 #disneyparks #media #PIXARFEST2024 #DISNEYLAND @Disney Parks #pixar #disneypixar #disneypov #disneytrip #disneynews #disney2024
Which one is your favorite? Mine is 100% “If you are in line for the fire hydrant, you must wait your turn.” Seriously, who comes up with this stuff?! 😂 He even tried to teach us human tricks!
Make sure to stop and say hello to Dug if you’re heading to Disney California Adventure soon! We’ll keep you in the loop with all the updates from Pixar Fest.

Disclosure: In nearly all circumstances, Disney Food Blog writers and photographers pay full price for their own travel, hotel, food, beverage, and event tickets. We do this because it’s important to us as journalists to ensure not only that we give you unbiased opinions, but also that you can trust us to do so since we’re paying our own way. On rare occasions, when we are invited by a company to attend a preview as media, and when we choose to accept that invitation, we will always make you, our readers, aware of that situation. Today, we were invited by Disneyland Resort to attend their media preview of Pixar Fest. Note that when we attend events as media we are 1) Not required to review that event/food on any of our channels, and 2) Not required to review that event/food favorably. You can always count on DFB to give you a 100% unbiased and honest review of any event that we attend, food that we eat, or beverage that we drink. You can see more in our Disclosure Policy.
