A Marvel CELEBRITY is lending his voice to a NEW Disney+ film. But we need to back up. Because to dismiss this person as simply a “Marvel celebrity” feels wrong. Paul Rudd is a LEGEND! And he teamed up with James Cameron for an AMAZING new project — Secrets of the Octopus is out NOW.

Wait. You mean to tell us that we can enjoy the soothing sounds of Paul Rudd’s voice AND learn a thing or two about octopi? We’re instantly IN. Who’s with us?

A NEW three-part series titled Secrets of the Octopus premiered on April 22nd on Disney+ and Hulu. The series is narrated by Paul Rudd and, as the name implies, dives into the fascinating life of an octopus. First of all, this is prefect for all of us who went through an octopus fixation as a child. (Was it just us?? Anyone else?) But then you add the fact that Paul Rudd is involved, and now we’re REALLY sold.

Oh, and did we mention that James Cameron was involved, too? Cameron said, My goal as a film creator of the Avatar movies and as a part of the National Geographic team is to raise consciousness and remind people how connected we must be with nature to preserve the natural ecosystem of the planet.”

Aside from all the star power, we need to give some credit to the creatures themselves! Octopuses, according to James Cameron, are “masterminds, shapeshifters, and so incredibly alien.” If you’ve ever seen a viral video of an octopus squeezing out of a tank or blending into its surroundings, you know these creatures are SUPER intelligent.
