NEWS: The Entrance Sign Is UP at Tiana’s Bayou Adventure in Disney World

Y’all, we are ALMOST there!

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure in Magic Kingdom — April 2024

Even though we didn’t get any updates about Tiana’s Bayou Adventure during the recent shareholder meeting, that doesn’t mean that we aren’t getting closer to the ride opening! We’ve been watching this ride like a hawk for any changes or construction updates — and we just found something BIG. We’ve been getting more and more sneak peeks at concept art, the critters we’ll meet throughout this adventure, and even the ride poster. We are getting SO close we feel like we can almost taste it, and what we found gives us hope that the ride opening is closer than we think.

We LOVE riding past Tiana’s Bayou Adventure on the Walt Disney World Railroad. It is one of the BEST ways to get a sneak peek into what the construction has been like and to see the latest updates. Sometimes, when we ride past, we’ll get lucky and spot something new in the queue, which is exactly what happened.

While we were taking a leisurely ride, we saw a NEW sign posted saying “Main Entrance”! We know that doesn’t mean the ride is opening just yet, but that is one big step towards opening. Right now, it is kind of hidden behind some scaffolding — however, it is so large that it is easy enough to make out what it says.

It looks like that is where guests will enter when they begin the indoor part of the queue that was formerly used for Splash Mountain. We haven’t spotted a “Lightning Lane” sign quite yet, so we are hoping we’ll be able to catch that one soon.

Ride testing!

We know there is still some work to be done, but we feel like this has brought us one step closer to the announcement of the opening date for this ride. Recently, Disney has announced some details about what guests can expect when they get to experience this ride, and has even begun ride testing! All of these clues combined really make us feel like we’re almost there.
