It seems like we just keep getting HUGE announcements about Universal Orlando’s new theme park, Epic Universe.
Isle of Berk details
From learning more about the park’s five different lands to getting details about some of the rides each land will have to learning more about new restaurants, there’s a lot to take in. Well, hold on, because we’ve got MORE details about some restaurants on the Isle of Berk land, which is themed after the How To Train Your Dragon movies.
Once you step through the portal to the Isle of Berk, you’ll be taken back to the age of Vikings and dragons. Universal says it’s place where “guests can soar with dragons in a colorful world filled with Viking adventures.” Okay, that sounds like SO much fun, right?

But more importantly, what about the FOOD on the Isle of Berk? Well, we now know what restaurants the land will host — and WE’RE SO EXCITED.

The first new restaurant Universal announced is Mead Hall, which is “where guests can feast like a Viking and enjoy a savory menu featuring a variety of meats, fish, sandwiches, and more along with a collection of meads and ciders.” This is made to be like Berk’s main gathering hall.

Near the Fyre Drill water attraction, you’ll find Spit Fire Grill, which will be a quick service spot that features hearty flame-seared meals. And for a quick bite, you can head to the racing-themed Hooligan’s Grog & Gruel food stand. It will be located in the Viking Camp area.

We are IN. Dragons? Food? What more is there to life, right? Anyway, we’ll be sharing even more details as we get them before Epic Universe opens in 2025 (which, yes, seems SO far away, but we’re trying to be patient).
