One Disney park is about to get some major expansions!
Tokyo DisneySea is getting the highly anticipated Fantasy Springs expansion later this year, complete with areas themed to Tangled, Frozen, and Peter Pan. But on top of that, there will be a new Fantasy Springs hotel. And one section of that hotel is going to be the most expensive Disney hotel yet.
Say hello to the Tokyo DisneySea Fantasy Springs Hotel — Grand Chateau! This stunning new resort is set to open on June 6th, 2024.
The Fantasy Springs Hotel is a park-integrated hotel, and those staying there will be able to enter Fantasy Springs through a dedicated entrance. Attraction tickets and tickets for viewing shows are included in your guest room fee at Fantasy Springs — these offerings will allow you to experience attractions and entertainment with shorter waits.
But the big thing about the Grand Chateau section of the hotel? It’s extra luxurious! ALL of the rooms have a balcony or terrace with a view of the park, and the accommodations are stunning. The decor even includes concept art of Disney characters that can be swapped out for periodic updates.
The Grand Chateau is pretty exclusive, as there are ONLY 56 rooms in total. Each room can sleep up to four people (except for the accessible rooms — those sleep three). There are six different room types available:
- Alcove Room
- Terrace Room
- Terrace & Alcove Room
- Terrace Accessible Room
- Grand Room
- Grand Terrace Room
Prices will vary depending on when you stay, but for the opening night, Grand Chateau rooms START at 300,000 yen, which is about $1991 US dollars. They certainly look like expensive rooms, with gold gilding details and painted artwork on the walls and ceilings.
Even the bedrooms have gold accents and fancy red draperies above the beds. Things just seem more expensive when you cover them in velvet, don’t ya think?
The excessive detail extends into the bathroom as well. Just look at this light fixture above the mirror! What is its purpose? Why is it so ornate?! We’re not sure, but for $2000+ per night, we’re not complaining about a little extra pizzazz.
So if you’re prepared to shell out the big bucks and live a life of opulence for a few days, you can book your stay at Tokyo DisneySea Fantasy Springs Hotel — Grand Chateau now! But if you’re a bit more low-key or your pockets aren’t quite as deep, you can book its more chill neighbor, the Fantasy Chateau, instead.
We’ll keep you in the loop with more updates about the Fantasy Springs expansion coming to Tokyo Disney Resort, so stay tuned to DFB for the latest updates!
