We feel PASSIONATELY about a good shortcut, alright?
Disney World vacations are FILLED with walking. If you don’t end up with some sore feet and a blister or two, did you really even visit? Well, all this walking makes us SUPER grateful for shortcuts. We have a few of them, and one just so happens to be located in Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
One of our favorite places to visit while in Animal Kingdom is DinoLand, U.S.A.! The area is themed as an old-timey parking lot carnival, but the theming has gotten to be a little too realistic in recent years — we must admit. That’s why a lot of fans REJOICED when Disney announced last year that DinoLand would be undergoing a re-theme. The announcement suggested that we could see themes from Moana, Indiana Jones, Zootopia, and even Encanto here!
While we’re totally stoked about the reimagining of this land (although it’ll be sad to say goodbye), there’s one thing that they BETTER not get rid of. Yep, it’s our favorite shortcut in the entire park. It connects two of the gift shops together, but it also prevents you from having to walk throughout the whole entire land.
At the exit of the Dinosaur ride, you’ll find The Dino Institute Giftshop. There’s a door that takes you on a rather secluded path. If you follow it, you’ll wind up at Chester and Hester’s Dinosaur Treasures.
This shortcut prevents you from having to walk through the hustle and bustle of the land — out where the rides, meet and greets, and lots and lots of children can be found a lot of the time.
All we’re saying is that when Disney re-themes those buildings, we really hope that they don’t do away with the shortcut. Just imagine how busy that main area will be when it’s newly renovated. 😬
We’re at Disney World every day, and we make it our goal to bring you the best Disney tips and advice. Make sure to follow along so that you never miss a thing.
