Disney’s earnings call for Q1 of 2024 came with some BIG announcements. On top of discussing revenue, Disney+ growth, and a few other things, Disney just slipped in a surprise announcement.
Disney is teaming up with EPIC Games (yes, THE Epic Games — creators of Fortnite) to bring a new collaborative game.

The game will include characters from some of your favorite Disney films and shows like Star Wars, MARVEL, Pixar, Avatar, and Indiana Jones and will combine them with the Fortnite gameplay characters to deliver the ultimate experience.

This collaboration is meant to build out a Disney universe that will be for gameplay, entertainment, AND shopping, and according to Disney, “represents our biggest foray into the game space ever.”

Not much has been announced further about this gaming experience, but for now, we know that more is coming “soon(ish).”
